The double cluster is a very nice object in binoculars.  Many people wonder why it was not included in the Messier Object list.  It is bright, well placed for northern observation and more stunning that other objects that were included.  The left most cluster in NGC 884 and the right most cluster in NGC 869.   This image is two separate exposures taken with the MX-5C and STAR 2000 auto tracker.  At f3.3, the MX-5C just captures both clusters in two exposures.  The field of view of this image is about 21 x 54 arc min.  The image captures stars dimmer than magnitude 15.  At a diameter of 29 arcmin, each cluster is about the same size as the full moon.
