This image was taken using the Meade f3.3 focal reducer on my 8" f10 LX 200.    I had finally acquired the necessary adapters to use the focal reducer and the 30 mm extension ring with my JMI NGF-S focuser.  Thus achieved the full effect of the focal reducer and obtained a focal ration of f3.3   This is a single 10 minute exposure with the MX-5C autoguided with the STAR 2000 Auto tracker.  The image was  first color converted with the Starlight Express Pixcolm5 software and then further processed in Photoshop.     Click here to go back.
