| M-104
has long been a favorite galaxy of amateurs.  It is relatively bright
and provides a good image.   Unfortunately for me it's negative
declination puts it lower in the sky and closer to my light pollution.   
I can image the dust band and bright central core, but have difficulty
pulling the faint halo out of the background light.  | |
