M-44 "Beehive" Cluster
M-44 is nicknamed the "Beehive" Cluster because it seems to be a swarm of stars in a wide field of view eyepiece.  Even binoculars will clearly show it.  It's full extent is about 1-1/2 degrees or three times the size of a full moon.

The field of view of this image is about 2.7 degrees square.  I used the film camera for this photo because M-44 is so large.
