M-45 is also known as the seven sisters. It is a very large object covering almost two degrees of the sky. My image only captured five of the seven stars comprising the seven sisters. The two missing stars are to the left of the brightest star in the image. My exposure is just beginnig to show some of the nebulosity surrounding the stars. The next time I try to image M-45 I'll use my Nikon 35 mm film back to capture the entire cluster with one exposure. | |
