M-48 in Hydra

M-48 is a very large, but very loosely formed open clusters in the constellation Hydra.  The best way to find them is to locate the bright star Sirus.  Then locate the circle of stars that form the head of Hydra.  Next locate Procyon.  If you can see Procyon and Hydra's head, you will be able to locate M-48 in binoculars.
