Animation  of Mars Rotation
This animation covers a little over one hour of real time.  Look closely to see the rotation  The image is not inverted, so the north pole of Mars is towards the top of the image.

The animation consists of  13 individual frames taken with my MX-5C CCD and 8" LX 200 working at a focal to diameter ratio of f30.  The time period between frames varies, but is about 5 minutes.  Each frame is comprised of a single image processed in Astro Art.

Mars is still pretty small (13 arcsec) so the image quality is not great, but you can just see the features move.  The Sytris Major complex is just appearing on the left edge at the end of the animation.
