Moon Occultation Animation Oct 01
This animation shows how quickly the moon can move across the sky.  The telescope was tracking on the star which appears to remain motionless in the animation.  All of the movement you see is caused by the moon's movement in it's orbit around the Earth.  When the animation starts, the exposures were about one minute apart.  For the last three frames of the animation, I set an automatic sequence and each frame is about 10 seconds apart.
