NGC 4631 "Millennium Falcon" Galaxy
NGC 4631 gained the nickname "Millennium Falcon" galaxy because the shape appears similiar to the profile of the "Millennium Falcon" space ship from the movie Star Wars.   The galaxy is difficult to see visually because the bright central area is obscured by dust lanes.  The Nikon film camera was just able to capture it even with a 20 minute exposure and a total of 60 minutes was needed to capure the image with the eight inch scope and the MX-5C.
