This
image
was taken at the with the Meade f3.3 focal reducer and the 30 mm
extension
ring on my 8" f10 LX 200. The 80 minute exposure was
generated using the MX-5C and the STAR 2000 auto-tracker.
Four
20 minute exposures were combined in AstroArt and further processed in
Photoshop. At magnitude 7.5, it is reasonably bright, but
it
has a low surface brightness. This plus the fact that it is
always
low in the sky for me makes it a difficult object for me to
image.
Fortunately, I had a night of very good seeing as was able to capture
four
nice 20 minute exposures. All were guided by the STAR 2000.
The nebula is very large and almost fills the CCD frame, even at
f3.3
