This image was created
by combining a total of 20 min worth of exposures while guiding on the
comet and 180 sec of exposures while guiding on the star
background. The images were blended together in Photoshop using
techniques described by Ron
Wodaski so as to remove
the trailed stars from the comet
image. The comet was higher in the sky this time so I was able to
capture a little more of the coma, but the dim areas were still lost
in haze and Washington DC light
pollution. Click
