This image was taken using the Meade f3.3 focal reducer on my 8" f10 LX 200.    Using this focal reducer with my JMI NGF-S motofocuser results in a focal ratio of about f4.   The image is a composite of several individual images.  They were first color converted with the Starlight Express Pixcolm5 software, combined in MaxImDL and then further processed  in Photoshop.  Total exposure is 35 minutes.  I probably need to revisit it with a longer exposure time.  The background noise is almost as strong as the signal in a few areas of the image.  The image also just captured a faint magnitude 15.6 galaxy  Click here to go back.
