| M-88
has long been a favorite galaxy of amateurs.  It is relatively bright
and provides a good image.  The year 1999 though brought an added
bonus.  A very bright supernovae easily visible in amateur scopes. 
I was lucky enough to have just received my 8" LX 200 and MX-5C CCD camera
only a few days before the supernovae occurred.  | |
