NGC 5746

This image was taken at the prime focus of  my 8" f10 LX 200.   The image is a composite of two 20 minute exposures auto guided with the STAR 2000.  They were first combined with the Starlight Express Pixcolm5 software and then further processed  in Photoshop.   You can just see the dust lane to the left of the central core.  It was pretty hazy the night this image was taken, so I'm a little surprised I was able to obtain what i did.  Total exposure is 40 minutes.  Click here to go back.
